Orders & delivery
We currently ship within Hong Kong SAR only. If you are outside Hong Kong and would like to order, email 13712022750@163.com and we will let you know whether we can arrange delivery.
Orders are packed by hand and handed to the carrier within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). Orders placed over a weekend or on a public holiday start processing on the next business day.
Standard — HK$26, arriving 1–3 business days after dispatch.
Express — HK$78, arriving the next business day after dispatch.
The charge is shown at checkout, in the currency you are billed in, before you pay. Times are counted from dispatch, not from the moment you order.
A tracking number is emailed to the address on your order as soon as the parcel is dispatched. If it has not arrived within 2 business days, check your spam folder, then contact us.
Email us as soon as you notice the mistake — we can usually correct an order before it is dispatched. Once a parcel is with the carrier the address cannot be changed.
Returns & refunds
You can return an item within 14 days of delivery. It must be unused, never brewed with, and in its original packaging. Because zisha is unglazed and porous, a pot or cup that has held tea cannot be resold as new, so a used item can only be returned if it is faulty.
Full details are in our Refund Policy.
Photograph the outer parcel and the item before unpacking further, then contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will replace the item or refund it in full, and we cover the return shipping.
For a change of mind you pay the cost of return shipping. If the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, we cover it.
Returned items are inspected within 3 business days of arriving. Once approved, the refund is issued to your original payment method within 3 business days. Your bank may then take a further 5–10 business days to post the credit.
The teaware
Our pots and cups are made from original-ore (yuan kuang) Yixing clay and finished by hand. The clay is left unglazed, inside and out, so the body takes up tea oils and seasons with use. Each product page states the specific clay it is made from.
Every piece is made and finished by hand, in clay that varies in colour and grain from batch to batch. Small differences in tone, texture, and hand-painted or engraved decoration are normal and are not faults — they are why no two pieces are identical.
Rinse it, warm it gradually, and brew the tea you intend to dedicate it to a couple of times before drinking. After each session rinse with hot water and leave it open to dry — never use soap. Our guide, How to Season and Care for a Yixing Zisha Teapot, walks through the full routine.
Traditionally each pot is dedicated to one type of tea, because the clay retains aromatic compounds. A pot used for a smoky roasted oolong will push that smoke into a delicate white tea months later. If you only own one pot, keep it to the tea you drink most.
See Yixing Zisha Clay Types, Explained for which clay suits which tea.
Choosing a piece
As a rough guide: 100–150 ml suits one person drinking alone, 150–200 ml suits two to three people, and 200 ml and up suits a table of four. Capacities are listed in cc on every product page.
The inside is unglazed fired clay. Decoration — hand-painted slip, engraving, or relief — is applied to the outside of the body, and the spout is fitted with either a ball-hole or multi-hole filter depending on the shape.
